Membership of the Renaissance Singers
The Renaissance Singers is always pleased to hear from singers who
wish to join the choir.
We rehearse on Monday evenings between 7.00pm and 9.30pm in the
church of St Sepulchre-without-Newgate, near St Paul's
Cathedral. For each of our half dozen or so concerts each season
there are around six rehearsals which all singers are expected
to attend.
Workshop evenings are generally optional, although the support of
choir members is strongly encouraged. The Friends of the
choir who are very loyal in their attendance at concerts enjoy
the opportunity to sing amongst the choir at workshops.
If you are not able to commit to full membership of the choir you
will still be able to participate on the open workshops and we do
occasionally ask guest singers to join the group for special
occasions.
There is an annual subscription fee which is used to cover the
costs of running the choir and its programme. The choir operates
as a non profit making charity. Each year a small number of choral
scholarships are offered in the form of waived subscription fees
to enable younger singers and students to join the choir.
